As I See It...

What? It's just what I think. Don't get all bent out of shape over it. Gah...

Holy CRAP, Long time no post...

Alright. Sorry for the gross neglegence in the blog. Here are the details of my life for the last little bit.

  1. The Man and I are still together, and doing well. It's been a month, and we're still taking it one day at a time. We're happy, and get along very well. I can't complain in any way on this point.

  2. Jason's trip seems to have been a success! We went to Max's for dinner on the Friday he arrived, and he got to meet most of Paducah's Gay Mafia. He survived, and we went on a walking tour of downtown Paducah. Drove about a bit, and just kind of relaxed and had fun. Glad you came down, man. I really hope you enjoyed yourself, and you're welcome down at any time.

  3. After Jason left on Labo(u)r Day, I increasingly began getting sick. I went to the doctor, they thought it was strep throat. Went on pills, they didn't work - so I went back. They did a little blood work and I found out that I had MONO. NO I DID NOT CATCH IT FROM THE MAN! And, Jason don't panic, I am not contagious. Apparently, I have a very light case of it which means that at some point in the past, I had a light case. We're hoping that two light cases equal one case and that I'll never get it again. Even though some people get very sick, I've just run a bit of a fever, but that's about it. I got lucky.

  4. Since I was sick and stayed home (but called in a sub EVERY DAY) the High School where I was subbing found a qualified teacher and my last day there was last Friday. It's kinda of good that I'm gone because the job was horrible (that's a whole other post), but sad because the students were just getting used to me. Bittersweet, but expected. No hard feelings, but I'm kind of glad to be gone.

  5. I do have a couple of full time job prospects, though. One is hopefully with the state working as a job development specialist. Basically, I show people how to make a resumee, give them job skills advice, interviewing skills, etc. The other is at an Alternative School for students that have been expelled from schools in Paducah. I've interviewed at the Alternative School, but not at the state job. So, I'll keep you all up to date on all that stuff.

As far as I know, that's all I know about. I know it's been a long time, but that's the full extent of the update for now. If I think of anything else, I'll be sure and post it.

How about you guys? Anything exciting and new going on?

    1) yay! what's his name? how'd yall meet?

    2) ah, max's, the memories. i'm kind of jonesing for their croquettes right now. i'm glad jason had fun visiting you. did you take him across the big (green?) monster?

    3) i hope you get well soon! any ideas how you got it?

    5) good luck with the interviews! maybe i should send you my resumé and ask for your advice. :) do you also look over cover letters?

1.) I promise to send you an email with all the juicy details. Such as they are.

2.) No, we didn't make it that far. I guess we're saving stuff up for the next visit. By the way, they have one lane of that thing closed to re-paint it. ONE LANE. I'd die...

3.) Probably from the water fountain at school. That's the best guess we have. The Man has had it already and everyone I know has had it, so I don't know.

4.) If you want to send your resume and cover letter, I'll look over them. The only things I might suggest are ways to tailor your resume for the job, but I'm sure you know how to do that anyway.

Mono! Yikes, I wouldn't have guessed that. How do you get rid of that? Is it just something that takes time?

Hopefully K. is feeling alright too then.

Any word on the new job front?

Guess what? We got all that tuna that I was raving about just last week. Oh, I still have a few moonpies left. All that Max's/Tony Roma's/IHOP was delicious but now I have to shave off a few pounds.

Thanks again for everything! Still trying to use up one of the disposable cameras so that I can take it in to get developed and see the pics I took.

hey it's Mitzzee from Jasons site. thanks for the link to the pics of Padukah. very nice. too bad Jason doesn't have any of his own. I'm sure he did his best not to pass on his germs and make you sick, but these things sometimes happen. hope u feel better soon. move to Canada, we have free health care. stat. cheers.
